After graduating from the Medical University of Gdańsk in 1992 and obtaining specialisation in family medicine in 1998, I have combined clinical work with practice management, which was undoubtedly helped by completion of the “Management in Healthcare” course at GFKM.
I have lived and worked in the North West of England since 2005, initially as a GP and now also as a medical educator.
In clinical work, women’s health is of vast interest to me, which is why I developed my knowledge and skills in this field by obtaining the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (DFSRH) supplemented with certificates of competence in the techniques of subcutaneous and intrauterine contraception (LoC in IT & SDI).
Since 2011, I have been further developing as a medical educator, obtaining subsequent qualifications and experience – a course for foundation doctors’ supervisors (FY), a Basic Trainers Course combined with the first degree of postgraduate studies in General Practice Education (Pg Cert in GP Education), and further masterclasses incl. supervision and teaching management, consulting skills, group teaching, etc.
From 2019, I started the next stage of my career as an educator in the North West England Health Education (HEENW) team, initially as the Training Programme Director in International GPs Recruitment scheme and later also in the International Medical Graduates support and Different Attainment team.
